Feb. 25, 2006 = Japanese pop at Shangri-La Plaza Mall

An evening of Japanese pop and light rock music is coming up in Manila
as part of the ongoing Philippine-Japan Friendship celebration. The
Japanese trio Core of Soul will play on February 25 (8.30pm) at
Streetscape in the Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong.
Core of Soul's Fukiko Nakamura (vocals), Song Rui (guitar and bass)
and Keisuke Iizuka (keyboards) – whose two albums and five singles are
described as "electric meets electronic" and "relaxing and
introspective" – will be joined by Filipino acts Barbie Almalbis, Hale
and Kitchie Nadal. The show is free.
There will be an accompanying showcase of posters, CDs and DVDs of

Feb 24 = German music in Paco Park

As part of the current Philippine-German Month, German-originating
music is being played in Paco Park in Manila through February. The
remaining show on February 24 (6pm) features pianist Ingrid Sala
Santamaria with the Peace Philharmonic Philippines Chamber Group.
Admission is free.
