for February 2007 = German concerts in parks, weekends

Manila has three long-established, free, but relatively little-known
outdoor shows in parks at weekends. Happening most weekends are Paco
Park Presents in Paco Park, Ermita, on Fridays (usually 6 pm); and
Concert at the Park in the Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium on Sundays
(usually 5pm). Less frequent is Ballet at the Park in the Rizal Park
Open-Air Auditorium on Saturdays (6pm). Information and schedules:

The Friday concerts in Paco Park this month focus on German music,
starting with the Philippine Madrigal Singers on February 2; then
singing guitarist Susan Fernandez on February 9; the Musikito String
Orchestra (a young string ensemble whose members ranges from 9 to 14
years old) on February 16; and finally pianist Leonor Kilayko on
February 23.
